Xcluder® has been containing or excluding both pet and feral cats since 1996, when we first started designing fences and barriers. We have seen the value that pet cats bring to many people’s lives, but also the disease and environmental damage that cats can cause when in the wrong places.
A cat enclosure is an ideal way to provide your cat a healthy outdoor experience, whilst ensuring their, safety and protecting local wildlife. We have a range of cat fence or enclosure options and products that can be used to keep cats in or out.
There are three main categories of Catnet products:
- Fence line netting.
- Netting attached to existing structures (ie: verandah, patio, side alley etc).
- Stand-alone free-standing cat enclosure. Glass house frames have proven to be very suitable for building free standing enclosures.
Xcluder® supplies some of the cat netting and accessories required for a D.I.Y Catnet self-installation at wholesale prices. We supply a full list of products required for self-installation and although we do not stock all of these items they are readily available through hardware suppliers. Cat enclosures self-installed, on average, cost less than half of those installed by professionals.
Xcluder® does not provide measure-up or design assistance, nor do we do installations. We suggest you contact a builder, local handyman, or other knowledgeable person to assist with your design and measure-up.

Add up the length of all netting edges, so you can work out how much wire rope or black edging rope you need, and how many eyelets and fastenings you will need to install your enclosure.

Easy fit L-shape zipper kit (machine-sewn)

Surround netting overall size is 2m x 1.5mDouble Sided Access Slider with Stainless Steel Caribiner style Lock
Includes all required accessories for attachment to netting
Installation Instructions
Ideal for high traffic areas and large item access
Note: If your access area is smaller than 2m x 1.5m, you can simply use this panel as a “ready-made” wall. Just trim the panel to size and you’re done.
- $105.00 incl. GST
Easy Fit single zipper panel (machine-sewn)
This vertical Zipper is suited to narrow spaces, where the L-Shape Zippers are not an option due to the width. They are also suitable if the area is only for occasional access, or if the access is only for pacing the Cat inside the enclosure. If you will be using the area frequently, and will occasionally be moving larger objects in and out, the L-Shape Zipper would be a more appropriate option.

Angled fence extension brackets
Installation of these brackets will be dependant on the type of fencing. They can be attached to most types of fences including timber and colorbond. For installation of fence brackets we recommend the consultation of a handyman or helpful friend or relative (to ensure the brackets are installed safely and securely). The brackets are designed in black to compliment the Low -Vis netting. As black doesn’t reflect light well, when installed they tend to be less noticeable than any other colour.
1 : Attach to Fence: For best results, we generally recommend spacing the brackets no more than 3m apart. Most installations involve the fixing of 1 bracket per existing fence post.
2: Install Guide Wires: Once the brackets are fixed, a stainless steel wire rope can be fed through the tip and angled junction of the brackets, running parallel to the fence. This wire will act as a support guide to stop the net sagging between each post. The wire should then be LIGHTLY tensioned using a turnbuckle. There is also a pre-drilled hole for a 3rd guide wire at the base of the brackets to help keep the netting at the bottom taught and hard against the fence.
3: Attach netting: Once the brackets and wires are taught, the netting can then be attached to the inside of the brackets (using the 150mm length UV treated Cable Ties), and also to the wire (using either the small 100mm cable ties of the C-Clips). The system works on the premise of a cat not wanting to climb upside down on an unstable surface. We generally recommend a minimum of 1.8m total height for this type of enclosure.. Apart from the obvious physical barrier that this creates, the netting also acts as a VISUAL deterrent to potential escape. These brackets are also a popular option for raising the height of a fence when creating a Side-Alley (fence to house) enclosure.
- 24.15 incl. GST per bracket
